Hi There and Welcome!
Are you new here?
We welcome you to the King Street Seventh-day Adventist Church, where our business is to make all our guests feel like a part of God’s family. Our church is not just another church. It is unique, from its architecture, to its members and offers a Spirit-filled, family-oriented worship experience.
We understand that you are joining us for the first time and you are not quite sure what to expect, so here are a few things about our church that may help to put your mind at ease.
Established in 1891, our church was the first Seventh-day Adventist church in Barbados and is considered to be the mother church. We therefore take seriously our responsibility to set high standards of worship and service to our community.

What Do We Believe?
Quite simply, we believe that the Bible is God’s word to us and every part of it is still relevant today…therefore we believe in creation rather than evolution, the divinity of Christ and His second coming. What separates us most from other Christian denominations, however, is our belief that Saturday, rather than Sunday, is the true Sabbath, set apart by God as the day of worship.

What Are Our Services Like?
Every service at our church caters to the needs of our church members and our community members. Our main goal is to coordinate our services in a way that will draw men, women, boys and girls closer to God through prayer, music, testimony and the spoken word. Click here to learn more
Learning God’s Word is an essential part of the Christian walk, and what better way to learn, than in school? Vibrant singing sets the tone for these sessions, which begin at 9:15 am on Saturdays. Members and visitors are divided into groups or classes for healthy discussion on what the bible says about topical issues that affect us in our daily lives. Parents, we love it when you bring your children to worship with us. While the adults and the youth study God’s word in the main sanctuary, school is also in session in the lower auditorium and the adjoining rooms. Your children may be left in the capable hands of our trained teachers and care givers to learn God’s Word in fun and interesting ways.
This is a formal worship session designed for our church family to worship God with the reverence and holiness that He deserves. Every aspect of our worship; congregational hymns, prayer, musical presentations, testimony, serves to prepare our hearts for the message from God…the sermon.
